Tis the time of year for resolutions. "I resolve to lose weight." "I resolve to quit smoking."
Have you ever noticed that most resolutions we make are negative? We tend to focus on things we want to fix about ourselves.
So here's a proposal for a new way to do resolutions:
For every "I resolve to" that is about something you want to change, think of something that you love about yourself, something you wouldn't change for anything.
For every "I resolve to lose weight", how about a corresponding, "I resolve to keep laughing at silly commercials on TV" or "I resolve to always kick ass at charades" or something along those lines.
Because how can you know what needs to be fixed if you can't even see what "ain't broke" in the first place?
Chris babbles about movies, pop culture, life, and weird stuff that occurs to her. Oh, and occasionally something useful happens.
